Andrew Givney became a barrister in 1987 following his retirement as a partner in a solicitors’ practice. Andrew has practiced in Family Law for over 30 years. He brings experience, constructive advice and strong advocacy, when required to his matters. His practice includes representation and advice in parenting, relocating matters and all financial disputes and has been involved in complex property disputes [in both marital and de facto relationship disputes].
Andrew is committed to the provision of advice as to effective and early resolution be it through negotiation or court representation. Andrew is a member of the New South Wales Bar Association, is a past member of the Family Law Committee of the Association and is a member of committees associated with Family Law. He is a regular contributor to seminars both in the presentation of papers and as a chairperson. Andrew’s practice includes appearance work both on country circuits in New South Wales and interstate.
