Profile

Having been admitted as a Solicitor in December 1983 Mark was called to the Bar in September 1991 and has practised continuously over those years.

He practised exclusively in family law as a solicitor and, on going to the Bar, he expanded his practice into the areas of criminal law and common law. This provided him with excellent opportunities to develop trial techniques and cross examination skills.

Mark has appeared in a wide range of State and Federal Courts and has run many cases at both first instance and appellate levels.
He was appointed as a mediator in 2015 and is a participant in the Family Law Settlement service program. He now practices predominantly in the field of family law and accepts briefs in all matters in that jurisdiction.

He has strong negotiation skills and is empathetic with clients. He recognises that many people who have to go through the family law process are often vulnerable and sensitive.

Mark has had over 30 years experience in dealing with clients who sometimes need not only a strong advocate, but also a little TLC on the way through. He is cognisant of the needs of these people and utilizes both his manner and experience to assist them in all aspects of their case.
